ASTM A312 TP317L Steel Pipe performs well in aqueous environments due to its molybdenum content. The lower carbon content provides ASME SA213 TP317L Tubing with excellent resistance to sensitization and higher creep-rupture properties. The ASTM A213 317L Stainless Steel Polished Tube is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and can be readily welded using standard procedures. ASME SA213 TP317L Tubes can be dual certified by adding nitrogen as a strengthening agent. These tubes cannot be heat treated but are typically cold worked to achieve hardening.
