I. Alloy Steel Studs According to ASTM A193 (Most Commonly Used)
1. B5 - Carbon Steel / Low Alloy Stud
Low temperature, medium pressure
General piping, non-high temperature
2. B7 - Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel (Most Commonly Used)
Material: 4140/42CrMo
Temperature: -29℃ ~ 538℃
Applications: High temperature and high pressure, steam, boilers, flanges, heat exchangers
Not resistant to hydrogen sulfide corrosion
3. B7M - Sulfur-resistant Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel (For Acidic Environments)
Same material as B7, but hardness strictly controlled to the upper limit
Used for: Containing H₂S, wet hydrogen sulfide, acidic oils and gases
Must be used with 2HM nuts
4. B8 / B8A - 304 Stainless Steel
Corrosion resistant, general chemical, water, neutral media
Grade A is solution treated
5. B8M / B8MA - 316 Stainless Steel
More resistant to seawater and chloride ion corrosion than 304
6. B16 - Super Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel (High Temperature and High Pressure)
Higher Temperature, Higher Strength
Used in supercritical boilers, high temperature and high pressure pipelines

Heat treatability
Can be adjusted through quenching, tempering, carburizing and other processes (e.g. 20CrMnTi has high surface hardness and good core toughness after carburizing). The hardness distribution can be customized according to the functional requirements of the parts.

Stable high temperature strength
Alloy round steel containing Cr, Si, and Al (such as 15CrMo) can still maintain high strength at high temperatures of 500-600℃ and can be used in thermal equipment such as boilers and high-temperature pipelines.
